Auntie Speaks

Minorities

We need to show more sympathy for these people.
*
They travel miles in the heat.

*
They risk their lives crossing a border.

*
They don’t get paid enough wages.

*
They do jobs that others won’t do or are afraid to do.

*
They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language.
*
They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day ~ every day.
*
I’m not talking about illegal Mexicans
~
I’m talking about our troops!

Doesn’t it seem strange that so many are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don’t support our troops? Wouldn’t it be great if we took the $360,000,000,000 (that’s billion) we spend on illegals every year, and spent it on our troops!!!

A veteran is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to The United States of America for any amount, up to and including their life.

I can talk!

I can talk! I can really talk. Since I’ve had surgery I had to do things with my left hand. Doing things with the hunt and peck typing system of my left hand kind of sucks, so I got this cheap version, very cheap version, of, Dragon. The voice to text software that they were advertising on TV a while back. So I am using that program right now to try and make a posting.

It’s been approximately 5 1/2 weeks since my surgery and according to the therapist I’m doing well I have a good range of motion. They wanted to wait approximately 6 weeks after surgery to start strength training because, it takes about six weeks for the soft tissue to repair and mend itself. With that being said, the therapist gave me permission to drive short distances from home on side streets but no heavy traffic areas.

I won’t post pictures of the surgical scars like a lot of people like to do I feel it is just to boring and gross. However, I can tell you that the surgery and the scar is not where I will would expect it to be. I thought they would cut me in the arm and shoulder area but they cut more on the side of my body away from the shoulder. And I would say the scar is about a foot long. My surgery took approximately an hour and a half a little longer than what the doctor expected but as he explained to my wife quote he’s a big guy”.

The surgery was done at seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River Florida. The staff there were really really great. Especially the anesthetist that gave me the anesthesia. What really surprised me was that in the beginning a doctor gave me a shot and said it was a blocker. They asked me if I knew what a blocker was and I said, it will make my right arm basically useless for the next 24 to 48 hours. And he said thats about right. The next thing I knew he was putting a mask over my nose and said breathe, and would seem to me a few seconds later I was waking up. The nurses that were putting a sling on my arm and all you other after surgery stuff told me that I was finished and I was surprised. It didn’t seem like I was even asleep this was seem so fast.. So for that day after surgery they got me to a private room. After a while they brought me food which I threw up. Later on in the day they tried to get me up to walk around. They sent two therapist to help me walk around and it didn’t quite work I got two steps and they said no I don’t think you’re ready. They sat me down in the recliner and then I watched the pre inauguration because surgery was on January 19. The doctors sent me home on Friday, January 20 so I missed a lot of the inauguration festivities on TV.

I started my therapy approximately 2 1/2 weeks after surgery and is expected to continue for about 10 weeks. Right now I have a good movement flexibility but I have very little strength I can’t even pick up a couple coffee with my right hand.

Oh well the adventure continues. I guess I how right moreover should I say talk more later hugs and kisses.

I never knew this happens…

O God, by Whose mercy the faithful departed find rest,
send Your holy angel to watch over this grave,

America!

There is a political element in government that is trying to tear down America. and the freedom it stands for. It is pitting American against American. It seems they want a civil uprising so they can implement martial law and make a complete dictatorship. They are encouraging the criminal and foreign element in America while putting down the law enforcement officers.

This is my answer to that!

In cas you may be wondering where I’ve been…

Pat and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this month, so we decided to take some time for a Caribbean cruise. We went on Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas.

When we left Port Canaveral the Captain announced that the water may be a little bumpy because there were 8 foot waves in the ocean but they expected it to calm down. However, we didn’t let that stop us from eating. We ate breakfast and lunch at the Windjammer. There were other breakfast and lunch spots but we ate mainly at the Windjammer

Blue Line

Thin_Blue_Line

Many people have seen the above synbol and either wondered what it was or what it means. Many know that it has something to do with the police.

Here is the real meaning..

The Thin Blue Line is a symbol used by law enforcement, originating in the United Kingdom but now prevalent in the United States and Canada to commemorate fallen law enforcement officers and to symbolize the relationship of law enforcement in the community as the protectors of fellow civilians from criminal elements. It is an analogy to the term Thin Red Line.

Each stripe on the emblem represents certain respective figures: the blue center line represents law enforcement, the top black stripe represents the public whilst the bottom represents the criminals. The idea behind the graphic is that law enforcement (the blue line) is what stands between the violence and victimization by criminals of the would-be victims of crime.

Proponents of the symbol assert that the identifier is intended to show support for police. The Thin Blue Line Flag has become popular among law enforcement personnel, their families and supporters.
